Aldila’s new Tour Green shaft helps drive 82° Abierto OSDE del Centro champ to victory

Using Aldila’s new Tour Green shaft in his Driver and its RIP shaft in his 3 Wood, the winner of the 82° Abierto OSDE del Centro tournament captured his second victory in his only two starts on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica. His victory came on the first playoff hole after hitting a solid drive off the 18th tee. The week prior, the Argentine came up just short of his third major championship title after falling to Adam Scott in a playoff at the Masters. His previous two major titles are the 2009 Masters and 2007 U.S. Open Championship.

Aldila also won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the RBC Heritage. Aldila had 11 more wood shafts and three more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer at the Masters, according to the Darrell Survey. The double count win marked the sixth consecutive week that Aldila has won both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour.

The Tour Green is also being played in the driver and 3 wood of the Most Accurate Driver on the PGA Tour. He leads the Tour with an overall Driving Accuracy Percentage rating of 73.58 percent compared to the Tour’s average of 60.35 percent. He also plays Aldila’s new graphite RIP Iron shafts in all of his iron clubs.

According to Aldila engineers, the Tour Green and Tour Blue is a new shaft design that’s currently undergoing final testing on Tour and will be released later this year. The company’s new graphite irons will afford golfers unrivaled consistency, straightness and low torque with optimum feel when they are released later this summer.

Irish company launches Barber Pole Putters into U.S. market

Barber Pole Golf
DUBLIN, Ireland  – Ireland is not only known for it’s challenging links style courses and recent ascent of PGA Tour champions, soon it will be recognized as the home of Barber Pole Golf.  Based in Dublin, Barber Pole Golf manufactures c360 solid brass precision-made putters with Radius Face Technology™ (RFT). According to testing by Quintic, a respected independent testing lab in England, Barber Pole Putters achieve “true role” in the first 12 inches of the putt. With putting contributing to 42 percent of scoring, golfers can’t afford not to invest in a quality putter.

Barber Pole is launching its Irish Links series of putters this spring to the U.S. market.  Each engineered putter face in the series is carved from a block of 100 percent c360 solid brass, eliminating any possible “dead spots” or “air pockets” which can happen with casted putters.  By using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling technology, Barber Pole guarantees the quality and integrity of each of its putters. Barber Pole uses only the finest materials to ensure that every time you stand over a putt, you know you can make it.

In addition to manufacturing its putter faces from the finest materials, Barber Pole Golf has also incorporated its patented Radius Face Technology™ into each Irish Links Series putter.

“Radius Face Technology is designed to stroke the golf ball above the equator,” said A.J. Crinion, Putting Technologist Barber Pole Golf. “The connection produces immediate topspin and a true, forward roll for improved control and accuracy. By combining the natural properties of c360 Solid Brass with RFT, Barber Pole Golf has a truly unique and reliable putting instrument, which will reduce your number of putts, lower your score and increase your enjoyment of the greatest game ever played.”

The 100 percent solid c360 brass combined with Barber Pole Golf’s Radius Face Technology yields an incomparable but consistent feel with every putt.

“Feel can be defined as a combination of the actual impact and recoil being transmitted from the face of the putter, up the shaft, through the grip and ultimately to the hands,” he said.

Barber Pole’s Irish Links Series come in four models. The Ballybunion incorporates the ever-growing popularity of the mallet design using a double bend shaft to help align the shaft of the putter with the center of the face, making the putter face balanced. The Portrush is a classic plumbers neck design introduced to golf in the 1950s, which is offset. The Waterville is a mallet putter with the divide between the face and the rounded off cavity at the back a little thicker so it gives a solid feel. The Lahinch has a flow neck design allowing you a clean view of the ball at address, which gives you a more connected feeling to the putter.

“Barber Pole Putters automatically deliver a ‘true roll’ that leading Tour professionals practice for hours to achieve,” said Crinion. “Players of all abilities will sink more putts in fewer strokes with the assistance of Barber Pole Putters. www.barberpolegolf.com

ABOUT BARBER POLE
Barber Pole is located at Unit B 16/17 in the Kingswood Business Park, Kingswood, Dublin 22, in Dublin, Ireland. The Irish Links Series putters are manufactured in California. The company adopts a best practice approach to deliver truly world-class putters. Barber Pole believes that not everyone wants a mass-produced putter and although their production is more expensive than casting and other forms of manufacturing, some things are just worth the investment, which is why Barber Pole Golf guarantees its work.

Northern Trust Open champ captures 1st Tour victory using Aldila’s NV shafts

At the Northern Trust Open, Aldila showed why they are still the #1 graphite shaft on the PGA Tour. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” played an integral role for the winner and Aldila also captured the driver, wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts.

The winner of the Northern Trust Open relied on the unmatched performance and incredible feel of Aldila’s NV shafts in his Driver, 3 Wood and hybrid club en route to his first PGA Tour victory.  He carded an 11-under 273 (68-66-70-69) and eventually won on the second playoff hole. With the victory, he jumped to the fourth spot in the FedEx Cup Standings and earned a check for $1,188,000.

“Aldila’s NV™ features Aldila’s patent-pending Micro Laminate Technology™ that provides the players enhanced power, consistent flex and precise feel,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The consistent taper and slim profile produces a shaft with consistent performance, flex and feel throughout the length of the shaft while eliminating the dull “boardy” feel of other shafts on the market.”

Led by their hottest shaft series, RIP, Aldila swept the shaft manufacturer counts at the Northern Trust Open. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” had five more driver shafts, 33 more wood shafts and nearly twice as many hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) completely transforms shaft design from the inside out providing players with shot control.

Two of Aldila’s latest additions to the NV line is the RIP’d NV and NV 44 Magnum. The RIP’d NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs -- the ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP.

The NV® 44 Magnum is the first truly high performance ultra lightweight sub-50 gram shaft design.  Typical ultra light shafts give up strength, flex, torsional stiffness, and overall stability in an effort to chase lighter weight. Aldila engineers have combined exclusive carbon fiber materials and resins with an innovative “Magnum” shaft profile and our exclusive Micro Laminate Technology® to achieve the highest level of performance possible in an ultra lightweight shaft.  By taking advantage of the mechanical benefits provided by it’s unique structural profile, the NV 44 Magnum offers optimum flex and torque characteristics for the better player while still maintaining the incredible feel that made the original NV the best selling shaft in history.

Aldila captures wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at Waste Management Phoenix Open

Led by its most popular shaft series, RIP, Aldila captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had five more wood and nine more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading competitor.

For the past three years, Aldila has been the #1 graphite shaft of choice on Tour with more wood and hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey.

The RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Technology®) series features five different shafts to help meet the needs of a variety of players. RIP Alpha, Beta, Gamma, RIP’d NV and RIP Phenom.

“The RIP™ employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive materials provided by the Aldila Materials Division, Aldila engineers were able to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance. The result is a revolutionary shaft with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel.”

The Phenom is Aldila’s latest addition to the RIP series. It incorporates RIP Technology™ with a unique composite construction to create a new and innovative shaft flex profile for maximum distance and control – the Hyperbolic Flex Zone™. RIP Technology repositions the materials and patterns to optimize the performance characteristics of the shaft. The Phenom’s Hyperbolic Flex Zone provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel. The center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.

The RIP’d NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs -- the ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV, featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®), is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history.

The Alpha is a tip-stiff, low-to-mid launch with low spin and is the original shaft with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness. The Beta version has a slightly softer tip flex for mid launch, the Gamma has the same launch characteristics as the original Alpha with a higher balance point for use with heavier heads to achieve a conventional swing weight.
