Benefiting from the enhanced performance and feel of Aldila’s NV shafts in his hybrid clubs, the winner of the 2013 Humana Challenge notched his fourth career PGA Tour victory by winning a three-way playoff.  The Fort Worth, Texas native battled back from a six-stroke deficit at the start of the final round, to finish in a three-way tie with his 25-under 263 (67-66-67-63). He won the playoff   on the second hole securing a check for $1,000,800 and the top spot in the FedEx Cup points standings.
The Aldila NV™ features exclusive aerospace materials and incorporates Aldila’s exclusive Micro Laminate Technology™ that provides the players enhanced power, consistent flex and precise feel. The dampening advantages of the Micro Laminate Technology have eliminated distracting and destructive “shock”. The result is a slim, stable design that maximizes distance, improves accuracy and offers the “perfect feel” for which the NV is famous.
Led by their most popular shaft series, RIP, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Humana Challenge, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila has been the #1 graphite shaft of choice on Tour for the past three years with more wood and hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer.
Aldila’s RIP Technology (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) was extremely beneficial for the longest driver at the Humana Challenge. The optimum flex and torque characteristics of Aldila’s RIP Alpha shaft in his driver helped him finish the tournament with a leading average distance of 321.8 yards.
Aldila’s RIP series features five different shafts to help meet the needs of a variety of players. RIP Alpha, Beta, Gamma, RIP’d NV and RIP Phenom.
