Aldila’s new Tour Green shaft helps drive 82° Abierto OSDE del Centro champ to victory

Using Aldila’s new Tour Green shaft in his Driver and its RIP shaft in his 3 Wood, the winner of the 82° Abierto OSDE del Centro tournament captured his second victory in his only two starts on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica. His victory came on the first playoff hole after hitting a solid drive off the 18th tee. The week prior, the Argentine came up just short of his third major championship title after falling to Adam Scott in a playoff at the Masters. His previous two major titles are the 2009 Masters and 2007 U.S. Open Championship.

Aldila also won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the RBC Heritage. Aldila had 11 more wood shafts and three more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer at the Masters, according to the Darrell Survey. The double count win marked the sixth consecutive week that Aldila has won both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour.

The Tour Green is also being played in the driver and 3 wood of the Most Accurate Driver on the PGA Tour. He leads the Tour with an overall Driving Accuracy Percentage rating of 73.58 percent compared to the Tour’s average of 60.35 percent. He also plays Aldila’s new graphite RIP Iron shafts in all of his iron clubs.

According to Aldila engineers, the Tour Green and Tour Blue is a new shaft design that’s currently undergoing final testing on Tour and will be released later this year. The company’s new graphite irons will afford golfers unrivaled consistency, straightness and low torque with optimum feel when they are released later this summer.
