Arsenal of Aldila shafts helps drive McGladrey Classic winner to first PGA Tour title

Armed with an array of Aldila’s latest technology, the winner of the McGladrey Classic came from seven strokes down to card a PGA Tour season-low 60 on the final day en route to his first victory on the Tour. The Champ benefitted from Aldila’s RIP’d NV shaft in his driver, the NV in his 3 wood and the RIP Phenom in his hybrid club. With the win, he earned a spot in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, and is exempt on Tour through the 2014 season.

Aldila’s RIP’d NV and Phenom are two of the latest shafts in the RIP arsenal. The RIP’d NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs -- the ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV, featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®), is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history.

The Phenom incorporates RIP Technology™ with a unique composite construction to create a new and innovative shaft flex profile for maximum distance and control – the Hyperbolic Flex Zone™. RIP Technology repositions the materials and patterns to optimize the performance characteristics of the shaft. The Phenom’s Hyperbolic Flex Zone provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel. The center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.

“Through the use of a Hyperbolic Flex Zone, the RIP Phenom incorporates the same flex, torque and feel properties that have made the original RIP the leading shaft on the PGA Tour, with a flex profile to achieve unparalleled performance and launch characteristics for better players,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The top players on the PGA Tour continue to trust Aldila’s RIP Technology™ because it provides them with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.”

“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the McGladrey Classic. Aldila had 17 more wood nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. It marked the 38th time this season Aldila has won the wood shaft manufacturer count and the 39th time Aldila has captured the hybrid shaft manufacturer count on the PGA Tour.

Feel Golf sells out of its 73-degree USGA conforming wedge in record time

Feel Golf Co., Inc., (OTCQB FEEL), is pleased to report that it has sold out of its new 73-degree USGA conforming wedges less than a week after launching it.

“This is the biggest rush order Feel Golf has seen since first introducing the original non-conforming shot saving wedge,” said Feel Golf CEO and PGA Professional Lee Miller. “Both conforming and non-conforming 73-degree wedges are on back order and are scheduled to arrive around the end of October.”

Feel Golf, one of the pioneers of the high-lofted wedges, first introduced a 64-degree wedge in the early 1990s. That club, the highest lofted club in play of Tour, is a favorite weapon of Phil Mickelson today. It was thought to be too extreme at the time.

“The 73 degree wedge allows players to hit a very high, soft-landing shot with ease from 50 yards in,” said Miller. “Just like the 64-degree wedge, our 73 degree wedge allows the golfer to take their full swing, which is a golfer’s most repeatable swing, and simply aim it right at the pin.”

Feel Golf’s satin finish, 73-degree wedge helps eliminate most of the short game guesswork of open stances, open faces and half swings. It allows you to go right at the pin and stick, making bunker play seem easy.

Miller said one of the common problems for recreational players is that they lack the touch and confidence to fully commit to the shot, so they decelerate, producing inconsistent results that lead to extra strokes around the greens.

“With good rhythm, players can take a full swing with the 73-degree wedge,” said Miller.   The wedge glides through the ball landing very softly from a tight lie or a bunker making it easier to score just like the Pros.”

Accuracy of Aldila’s RIP Beta helps Web.com Tour rookie dial in consecutive wins

POWAY, Calif.  – For the second consecutive week, the accuracy and shot control of Aldila’s RIP Beta golf shaft helped the winner of the WNB Golf Classic notch another victory on the Web.com Tour. He finished with a 17-under 271 (72-66-67-66) for a one-stroke victory and jumped to the top spot of the Web.com Tour money list. The Top 25 money leaders at the end of the season automatically receive their PGA Tour cards for 2013.

The victory marked the sixth time in seven starts on the Web.com Tour that the Quincy, Ill. native has finished in the Top 10. The 2012 Big Ten Player of the Year turned professional this year after the NCAA tournament. Prior to kicking off his Web.com Tour onslaught, he made three starts on the PGA Tour with his best finish a tie for 5th place at the John Deere Classic.

“Players continue to trust the RIP because of its lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.  “The RIP employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out. Through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive materials provided by the Aldila Materials Division, Aldila engineers were able to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance. The result is a revolutionary shaft with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel.”

Aldila’s (www.aldila.com) RIP Beta is a mid-launch version of the original low-launch, stiff-tipped RIP Alpha that has been tested and proven across the PGA Tour. It is made with Aldila’s patent-pending RIP Technology™ (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) which features lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.

Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Feel Golf unveils 73 degree USGA conforming wedge

Rory, Tiger, Phil, Dustin, Vijay, all made tough lies and bunker shots look easy at the BMW Championship with the help of their high-lofted wedges.

The 64 degree wedge, which has become Mickelson’s signature short game shot, was thought to be too extreme when Feel Golf CEO and PGA Professional Lee Miller first introduced it in the early ‘90s. But today the 64 degree wedge has become as indispensible as hybrid clubs to many players.

Now Miller and Feel Golf Co., Inc., (OTCQB FEEL), are adding a USGA conforming satin-finished 73 degree wedge to their tool chest of signature wedges. The 73 degree wedge allows players to hit a very high, soft-landing shot with ease from 50 yards in. Just like the 64 degree wedge, Feel Golf’s 73 degree wedge allows the golfer to take their full swing, which is a golfer’s most repeatable swing, and simply aim it right at the pin.

“The 73 degree wedge has taken wedges to a whole new level,” said Miller, who has a PhD in engineering. “This club can be controlled from three feet to 50 yards simply by ball placement. One of the hardest shots in golf is a shot out of the rough or bunker while being short sided near a tight pin. The patented design of Feel wedges allows the club to glide through the rough just like the bow on a speedboat parts the water for less resistance. Most recreational players lack the touch and confidence to commit to the needed shot, so they decelerate and the result is less then they anticipated. With the 73 degree wedge, that doesn't happen. Just take a full swing with good rhythm, and the 73 degree wedge glides through with the ball landing very softly from a tight lie or the bunker.”

The 73 degree helps eliminate most of the short game guesswork of open stances, open faces and half swings. It allows you to go right at the pin and stick it and makes bunker play a snap.
